Scottish Refugee Council has added additional resources to its ‘‘Online guide for new refugees’, designed to support New Scots with key information on education and employment, as well as important information on e-Visas.
The guide aims to help newly-granted refugees and practitioners understand the next steps after receiving refugee status (‘Leave to Remain’), an important milestone in rebuilding their lives. While refugee status grants new rights, it also comes with changes that individuals need to be prepared for.
The guide is available in 21 languages and covers a wide range of topics, including:
